Easter is about New Beginnings.
We often trip up stumbling our way to Bethlehem, but hopefully we learn something about ourselves along the way. Abba understands—really understands. He stands under us with eyes that only fill up with compassion, mercy and love. Always a deeper and deeper love.
I believe it is along this line that a contemporary seer writes:
Surely God does not exist so that we can think correctly about Him—or Her. Amazingly and wonderfully, like all good parents, God desires instead the flourishing of what God created and what God loves—us ourselves. Ironically, we flourish more by learning from our mistakes and changing than by a straight course that teaches us nothing. (Richard Rohr)
Love this Alan!
Timing is truly IN HIS HANDS. With the strange fretting about my license plate registration being.... long after my birthday, the Ont registration said I was too early. Duh. I always pay for 2 years ahead.
