Thank you for that reminder Alan! I ran past a lone lilac bush on my run this morning in Regina. Your verbal picture makes me long for my days in Ontario! Also brought to mind this quote, "God's middle name is 'Surprise'". He has a way of messing with our preference for certainty. (I believe that quote came from Bishop John V. Taylor, but I have not been able to verify that!)
And, and, and... no smell but a fabulous gift from God to us is the PEONIES coming about. They were 'all over the place' in the yard where Mom/Betty Nolte lived for 20 years! Thank You, Lord.

Hi Larry, Thanks for your comment, “God’s middle name is ‘Surprise’”. So true regardless of our location or province. Cheers, Alan
White or purple the're beautiful and fragrant.😁
You are right on Lorraine regarding white lilacs—they are beautiful indeed and abundant in PEC.
Thank you for the beautiful reminder. What a great Alice Walker quote!
Hi Dawn, Thanks for commenting on the Alice Walker quote. She is spot on!

Thank you for the fragrant offering and the memory.
Gorgeous post - and particularly poignant with fresh memories of PEC and having just returned from Iceland where purple Lupine dominate the landscape.
Purple Lupine, lovely.
